Plain terms for buying a living animal from us: what we promise, what we need from you, and what happens if something goes wrong.
This site is operated by GeckoMonster, based in Miami, Florida, USA. We breed and raise crested, gargoyle and Mniarogekko chahoua geckos, and we sell them directly.
By placing an order you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not order — call us instead and we will talk it through.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
You are responsible for confirming that keeping these species is legal where you live. Some states, counties and municipalities restrict the keeping of exotic reptiles. We cannot check every local ordinance on your behalf, and we cannot refund an order because an animal turned out not to be permitted at your address.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, and to refund it in full, if we have reason to believe the animal would not be properly cared for or the sale would be unlawful.
Every gecko is listed individually and photographed as it is. The animal in the photographs is the animal that ships to you. Because each is a single living individual, once an animal is sold it is gone.
Geckos grow and change. Colour, pattern and size shift with age, shedding, temperature and mood, and no two photographs of the same animal look identical. Descriptions of morph, sex and weight reflect our honest assessment at the time of listing.
Sex identification in young animals is not always certain. Where we state a sex we say so because we believe it; where we are not sure, the listing says the sex is undetermined.
These are live animals with a lifespan measured in decades. Buying one is a long commitment, not a transaction.
All prices are in US dollars. Prices and availability can change until an order is placed.
Placing an order reserves the animal for you. Your order is accepted when we confirm it with you — we contact you by phone and/or email within 24 business hours to schedule the shipment.
Payment is processed by Stripe or PayPal. We never see or store your card details.
If a listing shows an obviously incorrect price because of a technical or human error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honour it.
We ship live animals in temperature-controlled packaging and schedule every shipment around the weather at both ends. Shipments are held when conditions are unsafe.
It is your responsibility to give us a correct, complete shipping address, and to be available to receive the animal at the first delivery attempt or to collect it from the courier facility.
Live arrival is guaranteed under our live arrival policy, which forms part of these terms and sets out what is covered and how to make a claim.
Every order includes our digital care guide, and the guidance published on this site is general information about the species we breed. It is not veterinary advice.
Once an animal arrives alive and healthy, its health depends on husbandry we do not control: enclosure, temperature, humidity, diet and handling. We are glad to answer husbandry questions for as long as you keep the animal, but we cannot be responsible for outcomes that follow from care after arrival.
If your animal shows signs of illness, consult a veterinarian experienced with reptiles.
Our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example the cost of an enclosure bought in advance, travel, or lost time.
Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for our own fraud.
The photographs, text, logo and design on this site belong to us. Please do not reuse our animal photographs to advertise other animals — every photograph here shows a specific individual we bred, and using it elsewhere misleads buyers.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law rules.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here, with the date shown alongside it.
