Gecko Care Guide
Crested, gargoyle and chahoua geckos are arboreal species from New Caledonia. They are nocturnal, they climb constantly, and they do best when the enclosure is taller than it is wide.
Keep them at comfortable room temperature — roughly 72–78°F (22–26°C). Sustained heat above the mid-80s°F is dangerous for these species, so the priority in a warm climate is keeping the enclosure cool rather than heating it.
Handle new arrivals sparingly for the first couple of weeks. Let the animal settle, eat and establish a routine before you start regular handling sessions.
What to Expect
When you place an animal order, we contact you by phone and/or email within 24 business hours to schedule the shipment around the weather at both ends.
It is normal for a gecko to be shy for the first few days in a new home. Fresh food, correct humidity and a quiet enclosure do more for a settling animal than anything else.

Feeding
A complete powdered crested gecko diet, mixed with water and offered in a shallow dish, covers the nutritional needs of all three species we breed.
Offer fresh food every other day for adults and refresh it more often for growing juveniles. Remove uneaten food before it spoils.
Appropriately sized, gut-loaded insects can be offered as a supplement rather than a staple. Always provide clean, fresh water.
Habitat
A single adult does well in a vertically oriented enclosure with plenty of climbing branches, cork and foliage to break up sight lines and provide cover.
Aim for moderate to high humidity with a clear drying cycle between mistings — persistent wet stagnation causes more problems than the humidity level itself. Good ventilation matters as much as the number on the hygrometer.
Geckos drink from droplets on leaves and glass, so a nightly misting serves as both hydration and humidity management.
